Adopt, don’t shop.
Requirements
We require you to fill out our adoption application to help us to get to know you, your living situation, and what you are looking for in a pet. It will also help us to make sure the animal that you are interested in it the best fit for you and your life! Once we receive the application, we can proceed with the meet and greet and potential adoption.
It is imperative that you complete the entire application and be 100% open and honest. We do verify information on the application such as residence status, veterinarian reference etc. Only applicants that are best suited for the animal will be considered and will proceed to the next step of the adoption process. We apologize if you don’t hear back from your application, but we aren’t able to respond to every applicant. You will hear back if you were selected to move forward, or if we have another pet in our care we think would be a good fit.
We do our best to make great matches between our cats and adopters. In the unlikely event that it does not work out for whatever reason, we will always welcome our adopted cats back with a few days notice to find appropriate placement with a foster; However, adoption fees are non refundable.
Due to the COVID-19 situation we are doing our adoption meetings for pets in foster care virtually over video chat, and no-contact adoptions.
We also house some of our adoptable pets at the Puyallup PetSmart. Please refer to their petfinder profiles for more information.
Kittens!
We do not adopt out single young kittens if there isn’t another companion animal in the house. A companion animal is another cat, kitten, or a small friendly dog that spends most of its time indoors. This is a rule that many people don’t understand at first, but the companionship of another cat is so crucial to a kitten’s psychological and social development. Adopting more than one kitten significantly reduces the chances of the cat developing bad behavioral issues, and assures a more even tempered, friendly, outgoing personality.
